Ektralamp LLC has been lighting up organ consoles, pianos, as well as lecterns, and artwork on walls since 2008 when the company was founded by Will Limkemann. He has provided high-quality LED lighting solutions that have shipped both nationwide and internationally. Recently, looking to retire, Will placed the company for sale. Parsons Pipe Organ Builders purchased Ektralamp and in the fall of 2025 moved the operation from Ohio, to our shop in Canandaigua, New York.
In January a new room was created at Parsons’ shop to house the materials and tools, and to create a dedicated workspace for the creation of these lamps. Tim Parsons, Jake Koelling, Travis Tones, and Brian Ebert, have been hard at work learning and refining the production process—from a placed order, to the careful packing and shipping. A special shout out to Jake, who machines parts for and assembles the lamps! Behind the scenes, a new logo has been created, and a new website is in the works.
